Artists for Kids is pleased to offer an After School Art class at Ridgeway Elementary this winter!

Instructor: Natalie Vermeer
Class description: Play with paint, stencils, and different surfaces to create text-based art inspired by Ken Lum, Ron Terada, Dana Claxton, and more. Projects may include print-making, found poetry enlargements, zines, lettering/font creation, collage, public sign-style works.

MUSICAL THEATRE AFTERSCHOOL AT RIDGEWAY.
After-School Tuesday (Gr. K-7)
Sing. Dance. Act. Shine! At Lights Up Afterschool, your child can experience the joys and benefits of musical theatre by taking part in our afterschool programs led by our talented and experienced Lights Up Musical Theatre Schools’ staff. These classes are a unique introduction to our weekend musical theatre programs and provide students with an enriching, rewarding, and most of all, fun afterschool activity right at the bell!
FALL SHOW: BEAUTY AND THE BEAST
This Fall, be our guest with Lights Up’s production of “Beauty and the Beast!” With a script crafted specifically for our afterschool program, students will step into a world of magic, beloved music, and enchanted characters! Taking inspiration from both the film and Broadway musical, join us for a great adventure in this tale as old as time!
After School Tuesdays from 2:50pm to 5:00pm – students will be supervised from dismissal. No need to pick up your child until 5pm!
October 7 through December 9 – performance on the last day of classes for friends and family!

NORTH SHORE BASKETBALL ACADEMY.
North Shore Basketball – Jr. Skills Grade 2-4 @ Ridgeway
Participants will develop the essential skills and concepts required to have a solid foundation in the game of basketball. Sessions will progressively take participants through a series of fun drills and games that work on physical literacy and fundamentals like dribbling, passing and shooting. Throughout the program, participants will learn about core life-skills like positivity, sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, respect, health and fitness. Each participant receives an NSBA T-Shirt.
